Oddly enough one of my favorite things to do is give presents. I enjoy taking the time to find out what the person not only wants but needs as well.
When it came time to put together my sisters baby shower present it had to be personal and practical. Everything in it needed to have a purpose for both mom and baby.
Above shows everything I put into a gray and natural color seagrass basket. Below is the basket I put everything in. The basket is from Target for $19.99- great quality basket at a good price!
I also got the below “mommy care pack” from Target as well.
My sister registered on Baby’s R Us and Amazon. If you haven’t registered for a shower on Amazon I would highly recommend it. It was beyond easy to use as the purchaser of the gift and you were able to get a wide variety of items and all of my items fell under my free 2 day Prime Member shipping.
Here is everything I purchased from Amazon
aden + anais silky soft stroller blanket
4 in 1 Stretchy Multi Use Carseat Canopy
The last piece is this beautiful swaddle from a local boutique shop, Bailey & James, that I snagged. They actually just launched their online shopping as well so you are in luck!
Lastly, my favorite touch to the whole basket is the custom onesie I made for her.
Im secretly hoping this is the baby’s onesie he or she will go home in (shhhh lol).
While Whitney was opening the present she knew instantly that it was from me. The two main reasons? Im a sucker for my present in a basket and my favorite book growing up was Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shell Silverstein. It was filled with love and practicality. I asked a couple of moms to see what they wish they had at the hospital while they were in labor and what they did have that saved them. I got the slippers, face wipes, chapstick, mints and hand sanitizer ideas from those awesome moms.
Happy gifting!
