For Him & Her

Card or Hand Written Note 

You can never ever go wrong with a sweet card or a hand written letter. Be sure it comes from the heart and speaks true to your relationship. I love these cards from 6.25 Paper, located in Downtown Grand Rapids. They have not only great cards (for every occasion) but lots of other great finds that would be an easy addition to your present to your sweetheart! Always be sure to write a cute note on top the message already inside to put your own stamp on the card!

Picture Frame

 A picture saids a thousand words, right?

I have personally done this gift for Chad and he loved it! Now, putting a picture of you or the both of you is obviously fitting for the holiday. But, you don’t have to do that! Put a picture of a favorite place or a destination that you have been to. Or, you can put a quote or music lyrics that mean something to the both of you or your significant other. My last idea is a pressed flower of a previous bouquet you got her or tickets to an event you both attended!

Be creative and don’t think that a picture frame is solely used for a picture!

 

For Him

Create a 6 Pack

Creating a 6 pack for him shows you put thought and time into choosing each beer for him to try. If you love beer its a great activity to try them all together! Almost every beer/ liquor store will have a 6 pack beer carrier for you to make your own these days. Be sure to maybe throw in his favorite and something maybe he wouldn’t try usually!

Favorite Dessert

Does your guy have a sweet tooth? Mine does! Has he ever mentioned a favorite dessert at a specific bakery or maybe its something you make for him?
Either way, put on that apron or get in your car to snag his favorite dessert for the two of you to share on Valentine’s Day! Some of my favorite places to grab these sweet treats in Grand Rapids includes: Cakabakery, Martha’s Vineyeard, Salted Cupcake, Marge’s Donut Den and Donut Conspiracy!

For Her

Flowers

Fellas, sorry, I know it is a cliche; but, the majority of girl’s who are in a relationship is expecting flowers on Valentine’s Day! Whether you like it or not, your significant other doesn’t want to be the only girl at the office with no flowers.
Sorry bro. The truth can hurt sometimes.

So, let me make it a littler easier on you, below are some of my favorite flower shops in the Grand Rapids area. Most of these places already have pre-made arrangement options to choose from at different budgets = no way you can mess this up. Be sure to ask of any Valentines day specials or packages! Your girl likes to be pampered and an easy way to do this is at Lush! They offer pre-made already wrapped pairings for you to choose from. The one pictured above runs for just under $15! You can also create your own package that you can put together with one of the helpful workers at the store. I have always had a great and helpful experience every time I go in there to shop.

If you already know your ladies favorite things to pamper herself with, round of applause to you! Go and get a gift certificate or buy some of her favorite things for her.
