Fall Home Tour | Welcoming Foyer

Ah, fall….it is probably my most favorite times of year. The crisp air, cozy blankets and all things pumpkin! My husband also loves this season, mainly because of football and Halloween lol. But, regardless, we both look forward to this time of year.

With our house being a new build and us being in the house for only about a year and a half, and I have been moving things around to see what I like. One thing that has proved to be a challenge for me is that I love character in a home, vintage/antique and a collective look. And, with a new build house, that is creates a challenge to bring into your decor and design.

One of the biggest things I do when decorating is to use things I already have around the house different rooms in different ways. Using items around the house obviously helps with the budget and keeps the husband happy haha.

I read somewhere that “throw pillows are the stuffed animals of grown women” hahaha. I don’t know about you but I LOVE throw pillows. It is kind of a problem….no judgement. Anywho, I couldn’t agree more. Throw pillows are the easiest way to make a change to any room for any season. It will instantly add color, texture and personality. The “gather” pillow above is from Hobby Lobby for $7.99 and the textured orange pillow is no longer sold at Target but here are a couple ones I found that were similar.

Target $23.80

Target $18.99

I love this old school Vernor’s crate. In Michigan, Vernor’s is your go to with everything when you aren’t feeling good so its a nice little nostalgic touch and creates the perfect vintage feel.  Again, I couldn’t find the pillow in the crate but I found a similar one that I love. I found a similar blanket here.

Target $15.99

Next piece of my foyer is the metal bin from Hobby Lobby. I filled it with pumpkins and some foliage I already had in a different arrangement. I saw them in the foyer and they kind of looked like corn stalks so I went with it! While adding cornstalks to the front porch some of the leaves fell off so I ended up sticking them in there as well.

The pumpkins are from Hobby Lobby (of course). They have so many options of fake pumpkins and in a large variety of colors as well. Hobby Lobby usually has some sort of sale always going for fall items so keep that in mind when shopping! I also filled the bottom of the bin with some smaller planters so I only needed the 3 pumpkins you see.
