My New “Found” Favorite Place: The Found Cottage

I have a confession to make…

I have been basically stalking The Found Cottage for months now on Facebook and Instagram and was dying to go check it out myself! Trust me you will do the same once you follow them too..

Chad was out of town this past week at the Great American Beer Fest (lucky duck..) through the weekend so I finally got the open weekend to go check it out and invited my sister to tag along. The Found Cottage is located in Hudsonville so it was a little bit of a drive from the Grand Rapids area. But, no need to worry, we made sure we stopped by Starbucks for the drive where Whitney (my sister) introduced me to the Pumpkin Spice whipped cream they put on PSL. Who knew!?

The great thing about this place is that it is such an eclectic collection from not only the findings of The Found Cottage themselves but also from boutiques and antique finds from vendors as well! Including but not limited to Feather and Birch, Sew Nifty Thrifty, Pretty Little Things Inc. (which all of you should follow too!).  I got something from each of these vendors while I was there.

One of the treasures I found was this cute black and white plaid scarf (perfect for those cold Michigan State Games!) for $24. Also pictured is a perfectly simple necklace that goes with everything for $18! I couldn’t pass up either of them.

I also made an addition to the decor in our home. This super cute Michigan pillow was $27 pictured below. It comes in a few choices of fabric of both the mitten and the heart.  This pillow makes a great gift for a fellow state of Michigan lover.

If the Mitten pillow doesn’t float your boat maybe you can show pride in your favorite college or university? These pillows range in price but are such a cute and stylish idea to show your school spirit. The vendor who makes these have not only the big Michigan schools but the smaller ones too! I was also able to find some schools outside of Michigan as well. 🙂

Don’t count out the new mamma crowd in this store! It has the cutest little room full of baby and toddler gear. I was only able to capture one corner of room. Some of the items were those super cute and soft blankets you see in the picture, headbands, swaddle blankets, graphic prints and play pop up tents. I wish I had a baby shower to go to! That mom would have been so spoiled…

The Found Cottage is full of new finds every time you go in. It has so many great gift ideas for everyone on your list. I am excited to visit again for some Christmas presents for my friends and family. What makes this place even better? The people who work there. They were so pleasant to talk to and helpful when you had questions or ideas.

I’m giving 3 Cheers (out of three) for The Found Cottage 🙂

Happy Hunting-Cheers!

My daughter and I follow Liz Marie’s blog. We are from Missouri. Have family in Grand Rapids. Today we were visiting family and I got to visit The Found Cottage.
Wow they are so friendly in there, lovely things and I found the faux cotton stems i had been looking everywhere for. I saw Liz Marie make an arrangement of them in her farmhouse. Thanks so much. Great fun!
Love what Liz does in her decorating!!
